Hailing from Minnesota, John Bondurant adopted Sanibel as his home town at the age of 6. He grew up in a real estate family, learning every aspect of the business, and has been a licensed Florida agent since 2009.  With natural talent for collaboration and genuine love of great conversation, John is known for exceptional customer service with a smile.

John is an expert on the Sanibel Experience, having attended all grades offered at The Sanibel School and participating as a volunteer at The Historical Village, Ding Darling Wild Life Preserve, CROW Clinic and The National Shell Museum. In Ft Myers, he attended Bishop Verot High School and Florida Gulf Coast University. He is a life-long sports enthusiast and played four years of football in high school. Always ready to try something new, John recently discovered island pickle ball.

An accomplished chef and bartender, John’s hobby is international culinary arts. During a break from Florida real estate, he graduated from The French Culinary Institute in NYC, worked at a 2 Michelin starred restaurant in Tribeca and reinvented an Upper East Side Manhattan eatery and bar as executive chef. John is a global citizen and a student of European cuisine, with a dual passport USA/Ireland.
