Valerie Tutor is a proud native Floridian who grew up on a cattle ranch in rural south Florida. Since the early 60’s, her family’s love for the outdoors led them to make Sanibel & Captiva Islands the place they spent their free time, eventually building a home on the Gulf in Captiva. Living, working, and playing in Florida, Valerie realized her own dream of moving to Sanibel full time twelve years ago.

An avid outdoors woman & self-proclaimed mermaid, Valerie loves fishing, boating, shelling and horseback riding.  She is always excited to share the exceptional Florida lifestyle with customers and visitors alike. Valerie is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable advocate for all things Florida, especially her beloved Sanibel-Captiva Islands and the entire Southwest Florida area.

She is passionate about serving her community in her roles as an officer in the local Lion’s Club, as chair of SanCap Cares benefitting Golisano Children’s Hospital, as a board member for Captiva Chapel by the Sea, serving on the Government Affairs committee of the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce and memberships in several civic organizations. 

Valerie holds a master of science in Psychology and owned a popular consulting firm for 16 years working with private companies, state and county governments throughout Florida. She has also worked in marketing and public relations in the building and marine industries.

Putting her unique skills, high energy and commitment to work achieving a customer’s goals throughout the real estate process, Valerie believes strongly in developing a connection that fosters mutual trust and confidence. Her knowledge, positive attitude, diligence, and genuine, personal approach make her the right choice!
